Infection Control Coordinator

Gaelan Medical Care is looking for a skilled and dedicated Infection Control Coordinator to join our growing team in Sharjah.

Role Description

The Infection Control Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the facility’s Infection Prevention and Control (IP&C) Program to ensure the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors. This role also involves evaluating infection control practices, conducting training, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and evaluate the Infection Prevention and Control Program.
• Guide isolation, disinfection, and infection control practices.
• Investigate and manage healthcare-acquired infections and communicable disease outbreaks.
• Collect and analyze infection data; implement improvement plans as needed.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and related activities.
• Support staff training and nursing education in collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health, or a related field.
• Certification: Preferably with Certification in Infection Control (CIC).
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in infection control or a related field.
• Language: Fluency in English (both written and verbal).
