Job Summary
Dr. Ozone Clinic is seeking a qualified and experienced Nephrologist to oversee and manage plasmapheresis treatments at our clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patients, developing appropriate treatment plans, supervising plasmapheresis procedures, and ensuring the safe and effective operation of the plasmapheresis machine.The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience in nephrology, dialysis, apheresis, or related therapeutic procedures and will be committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and determine their suitability for plasmapheresis treatment.
- Prescribe and supervise therapeutic plasmapheresis procedures.
- Oversee the safe operation of the plasmapheresis machine.
- Establish treatment protocols, including plasma volume, replacement fluids, anticoagulation, and treatment frequency.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment.
- Identify and manage complications, adverse reactions, and medical emergencies.
- Review laboratory results and adjust treatment plans as required.
- Work closely with nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure proper infection-control and patient-safety standards are followed.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
- Ensure that equipment maintenance, calibration, and quality-control procedures are completed.
- Train and supervise clinical staff involved in plasmapheresis procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and clinic policies.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, and protocol development.
Qualifications
- Medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Board certification or specialist qualification in Nephrology.
- Valid medical license or eligibility for licensing in DHA.
- Experience with therapeutic plasmapheresis, apheresis, dialysis, or extracorporeal therapies.
- Current Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and emergency-management skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.
Preferred Experience
- Previous responsibility for operating or supervising plasmapheresis equipment.
- Experience treating patients with renal, autoimmune, neurological, or hematological conditions requiring plasmapheresis.
- Familiarity with clinical documentation, infection control, and healthcare accreditation standards.
