Job Summary

The Director of Pharmacy Compliance, Quality, and Informatics provides strategic leadership and oversight for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of pharmacy training, quality management, and informatics across HMG. This role ensures that pharmacy services maintain the highest standards of compliance, safety, education, and technology integration to support person-centered care and organizational goals. The Director will supervise both the Pharmacy Training & Quality Manager and the Pharmacy Informatics Manager, aligning their objectives to drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation in pharmacy practice.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality & compliance initiatives for a standardized, effective, and efficient pharmacy system across the company.
  • Provide strategic leadership by aligning department plans, policies, and processes with the company’s overall business strategy.
  • Oversee long-term planning of pharmacy compliance, training, and informatics initiatives to support organizational growth.
  • Ensure company-wide compliance with JCI, CBAHI, and all other accreditation and regulatory body requirements.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate pharmacy operations, medication use, safety, and quality improvement plans to maintain safe and effective medication practices.
  • Oversee the implementation and evaluation of training and development activities for the Pharmacy Division.
  • Perform other applicable duties as assigned within the realm of expertise and organizational needs.

Education/Professional Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacy Administration, or a relevant field being advantageous
  • Licensed Pharmacist with SCFHS licensure
  • Relevant certifications in Quality Management, Clinical Pharmacy, Informatics, or Healthcare Leadership preferred
  • At least 10 years of work experience in pharmacy practice, preferably in healthcare or clinical research industry
  • Demonstrated experience in Pharmacy Informatics and Automation, Quality & Compliance, and Training & Development
