Job Summary
The Radiology Specialist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis, maintaining patient safety, and supporting physicians in the evaluation and treatment of patients. The role requires adherence to radiation safety standards, professional ethics, and healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations including X-ray, CT, MRI, Mammography, Fluoroscopy, and other imaging procedures as assigned.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing concerns.
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment according to manufacturer and healthcare facility guidelines.
- Ensure high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing patient exposure to radiation.
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Follow radiation protection and infection control protocols.
- Review images for quality and completeness before submission to radiologists.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the hospital information system.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
- Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate maintenance when required.
- Stay updated on advances in radiology technology and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology, Medical Imaging, or a related field.
- Valid professional classification and registration from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (for positions in Saudi Arabia).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Relevant clinical experience in diagnostic imaging is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures and imaging equipment.
- Understanding of radiation safety principles and regulations.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and image quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in PACS, RIS, and electronic medical record systems.
Working Conditions
- Hospital, clinic, or diagnostic imaging center environment.
- May require shift work, weekend and holiday work, and on-call duties.
- Exposure to radiation with appropriate safety precautions and protective equipment.
Pay: ﷼5,000.00 - ﷼6,000.00 per month
