MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB To perform pulmonary function testing, under supervision of a licensed physician, for the diagnosis and treatment of lung capacity and to perform respiratory therapy to treat related respiratory diseases

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Perform all pulmonary function procedures and sleep medicine techniques and studies according to standard procedure, patient safety standards and regulatory requirements

Conduct pulmonary function tests e.g. spirometry with reversibility studies, lung volume and gas transfer studies

Conduct Polysomnography test according to standard practice

Evaluate data, results and clinical documentation for quality and accuracy

Required Education A Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy from an accredited educational institution

A current license and registration or certification to practice as a Pulmonary Function Technologist from country of origin and/or education

Current registration with NBRC or CSRT as a registered Respiratory Therapist

Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Required Experience At least 2 years postgraduate experience working as a Pulmonary Function Technologist

Required Job Skills And Knowledge

  • Patient safety and experience principles
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
  • UAE healthcare regulatory framework and related requirements
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
