Job Purpose

The Risk Lead is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Salehiya’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program and reports directly to the Senior Manager Audit and Risk. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in risk management processes, including risk identification, assessment, evaluation, treatment, and monitoring. They must possess excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively deliver training and facilitate risk workshops for management and staff. The role requires close collaboration with departments to align risk management activities with organizational objectives, proficiency in recognized risk management and control frameworks (e.g., COSO, COSO ERM, ISO 31000), strong analytical skills to interpret risk data, and proactive identification and management of emerging risks.

Key Responsibilities

Operational

  • Maintain and regularly update the corporate risk register, ensuring timely input from all departments.
  • Follow up on risk mitigation actions with risk owners and track implementation status and test the implemented controls for effectiveness.
  • Prepare periodic risk reports and dashboards for senior management and the Audit Committee.
  • Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and initiate follow-up actions or escalate issues to management when thresholds are exceeded.
  • Work closely with designated risk champions across departments to support risk identification, updates, and awareness.
  • Review and validate risks reported by management as part of the continuous risk monitoring.
  • Coordinate the scheduling, logistics, and documentation of risk workshops and related meetings.
  • Develop and maintain risk-related documentation, including policies, procedures, and templates.
  • Assist in setting and reviewing the organization’s risk appetite and tolerance levels.
  • Monitor internal and external developments for potential emerging risks and escalate as needed.
  • Provide administrative support in managing risk management software or tools.
  • Ensure risk training materials are updated and assist in delivering awareness sessions.
  • Support internal audit and compliance functions with risk-related insights for planning, coordination, and execution of assurance activities.
  • Respond to ad hoc risk-related requests and support special projects or initiatives as assigned by the management.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CRMA, IRMCert, or equivalent is a plus.

Minimum Experience

3-5 Years’ experience in risk management, preferably in the pharma or supply chain industry.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in risk management software and tools.
  • Effective communication in both Arabic and English and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.
