We are seeking a Sales Merchandiser for a pharmaceutical company. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a UAE-based pharmaceutical company, and a valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
1. Sales and Promotion
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for assigned products and territories.
- Visit pharmacies and retail outlets to promote pharmaceutical brands.
- Educate pharmacists and store personnel about product benefits, usage, and promotions.
- Support the sales team in implementing marketing campaigns and trade promotions.
2. Merchandising and Display
- Ensure proper product display, shelf placement, and brand visibility according to planograms and company guidelines.
- Regularly check product availability, price labels, and expiry dates on shelves.
- Replace or remove expired, damaged, or slow-moving items as per company policy.
- Maintain high merchandising standards to attract customer attention and drive sales.
3. Inventory and Stock Management
- Monitor stock levels at outlets and coordinate replenishment with distributors or warehouse teams.
- Prepare and submit stock reports and order requests in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular stock rotation to ensure first-expiry-first-out (FEFO) compliance.
4. Relationship Management
- Build and maintain positive relationships with pharmacists, store managers, and key retail staff.
- Gather feedback from customers and retailers regarding products, prices, and promotions.
- Address client inquiries professionally and report market trends or competitor activities to management.
5. Reporting and Documentation
- Submit daily or weekly sales and merchandising reports to the supervisor.
- Record store visits, sales achievements, and market insights using company reporting systems.
- Assist in collecting orders, invoices, and proof of delivery when needed.
6. Market and Competitor Analysis
- Monitor competitor products, pricing, and promotional strategies.
- Provide market intelligence to help improve company sales strategies.
- Suggest new sales opportunities or merchandising improvements based on field observations.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong product knowledge (pharmaceutical or healthcare products).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Basic knowledge of merchandising and retail display principles.
- Ability to work independently and travel extensively within assigned areas
