Gaelan Medical Care is expanding, and we’re looking for a skilled and passionate Specialist Endocrinologist to join our growing team.

Role Description

The Specialist Endocrinologist is responsible for providing expert outpatient endocrine care, with a focus on pre-operative and post-operative endocrine assessment and management. The role supports safe surgical outcomes through effective hormonal optimization and coordinated care within a multidisciplinary ambulatory team.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage endocrine and metabolic disorders in an outpatient / day care setting.
• Provide pre-operative endocrine evaluation and optimization for surgical patients (e.g., diabetes, thyroid disorders).
• Manage post-operative endocrine follow-up and complications as required.
• Interpret and evaluate laboratory results, hormonal assays, and diagnostic investigations.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with ambulatory care protocols.
• Educate patients on disease management, medication compliance, and lifestyle modification.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and allied healthcare staff to ensure safe day-surgery outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Adhere to patient safety standards, infection control policies, and ethical medical practices.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities.
