We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Psychiatrist to join our Mental Health team at Healthpoint. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adult patients presenting with a broad spectrum of mental health conditions. The role involves delivering evidence-based care through pharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including assessment of mental, emotional, behavioral, and
• cognitive disorders.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric conditions in accordance with international best practices and
• evidence-based guidelines.
• Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing pharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions.
• Manage outpatient psychiatric consultations and follow-up care.
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments when clinically indicated.
• Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, primary care physicians, and other specialists to provide integrated
• patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation and clinical records.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental meetings.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and mental health management.
• Adhere to all Healthpoint, M42, DOH, and regulatory standards and policies.

Qualifications

• MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent medical degree.
• Completion of a recognized residency training program in Psychiatry.
• Specialty qualification in Psychiatry recognized under the UAE Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR).
• Minimum of 2 years of post-specialty qualification experience in Psychiatry.
• DOH License or DOH Eligibility as Specialist Psychiatry.
• Experience in the assessment and management of common psychiatric disorders across outpatient and inpatient
• settings.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
