Job Summary

The Store Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the MAS Store by receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining inventory of spare parts and related materials. The ideal candidate must have sound knowledge of mechanical, electrical, automotive, or heavy equipment spare parts and ensure accurate inventory records while maintaining an organized and safe warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming spare parts and materials against delivery notes and purchase orders.
  • Store items properly according to company procedures and inventory standards.
  • Issue spare parts to maintenance teams and other departments based on approved requests.
  • Maintain accurate stock records in the inventory management system.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and assist with monthly and annual inventory audits.
  • Monitor stock levels and report low or obsolete inventory to the Store Supervisor.
  • Identify and classify spare parts using part numbers, descriptions, specifications, and manufacturers' catalogs.
  • Ensure proper labeling, shelving, and housekeeping within the store.
  • Assist in loading and unloading deliveries when required.
  • Coordinate with Procurement and Maintenance departments regarding spare parts availability.
  • Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and warehouse safety procedures.
  • Prepare inventory and stock movement reports as requested by management.
  • Perform other store-related duties assigned by the Store Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Diploma or certificate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of spare parts is mandatory.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a warehouse or store environment.
  • Experience handling automotive, heavy equipment, mechanical, electrical, or industrial spare parts is mandatory.
  • Experience using ERP or inventory management systems is preferred.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of spare parts identification and inventory management.
  • Ability to read part numbers, technical specifications, and catalogs.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel, Word, and inventory software).
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
