MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB To work as part of the theatre team in providing quality care to patients undergoing anaesthesia and to provide, skilled clinical and technical assistance to the anaesthetist

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS To provide a high standard of care pre-, during and post-anaesthesia for patients following Hospital guidelines and Operation Theatre standards

To ensure that the operation theatre and supplies are prepared and that all anaesthetic equipment is cleaned, sterilised and disinfected pre-operative and post-operative

To ensure that anaesthetic stock, medication and equipment is controlled

To ensure that patient records and documentation are maintained

To actively promote patient satisfaction

Required Education Diploma in Anaesthetic Technology from an accredited institution, college, or university

Licensed or eligible for licensure as Anaesthesia Technician according to the UAE requirements

Licensed in Country of origin

Current and valid ACLS certification

Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate

Required Experience At least 2 years’ experience as an Anaesthesia Technician in a hospital environment

Required Job Skills And Knowledge

  • Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Stock control principles and management
