Job Summary

The Patient Access Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the patient registration and front desk operations, ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate data entry, and high-quality customer service. This role manages the patient access team, resolves patient issues, and ensures compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the patient access team, including scheduling and daily operations.

• Oversee patient registration, check-in, and check-out processes.

• Ensure accurate collection and entry of patient information and insurance details.

• Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and escalations professionally.

• Train and mentor staff to maintain high standards of service.

• Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and confidentiality standards.

• Maintain a welcoming and organized reception area.

Requirements

• Proven experience in patient registration, admissions, or healthcare front desk operations.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of healthcare systems, insurance processes, and patient confidentiality regulations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and patient management software.

• Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and professionally.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field preferred.
