Senior Financial Analyst

To develop an Activity Based model with the aim of forming a better understanding of productivity and costing, improving profitability, financial control and achievement of business strategy
Responsibilities
- Prepare and document and activity based costing (ABC) policy and procedures
- Build and maintain ABC model in Tableau or similar tool and continuously enhance the dashboard and costing rules based on end user feedback
- Report key highlights at division and hospital level and meet with Hospital management teams to discuss the key findings. Reporting and benchmark should focus on profitability and productivity at multiple levels (procedures, doctors, specialties, etc.)
- Assist the units in developing action plans based on the ABC analysis outcome. Monthly/Quarterly reporting of the financial impact of the implemented action plans
- Monitor trends in revenue, productivity, costs and profitability and identify cost saving opportunities, growth opportunities any potential risks to the business
- Work closely with the Funder Relations team to discuss loss making procedures and tariff structures
- Work closely with Health Information team to incorporate their insights into the ABC model
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting
- Desired: Chartered Accountant: CA(SA), ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 5-10 Years management experience in a financial environment
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
- Conflict management skills
- Financial acumen and industry awareness
- Hospital operations in the UAE
- Medical terminology and procedures
- Skilled in leading and managing complex negotiations with relevant stakeholders
- Verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic will be an advantage)
