Role Description
We're seeking a Backend Developer to join our engineering team. You'll work on backend systems, APIs, and microservices that power our platform. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to design maintainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices
- Optimize database queries and system performance
- Collaborate with frontend teams on API integration
- Maintain code quality through testing and code reviews
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical documentation
Requirements
- 4+ years backend development experience
- Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or Java
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Experience with message queues and caching systems
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with event-driven architecture
- GraphQL implementation experience
- DevOps and CI/CD pipeline knowledge
- Performance optimization expertise
