Ultrasonographer

Performs all requested Ultrasound examinations per the American Hospital Dubai and Medical Imaging Department guidelines. Conducts various ultrasound imaging procedures, including those related to OB/GYN, Abdominal, small parts, Vascular, Neonatal, Musculoskeletal, and Interventional areas. Participates in the coordination of the Departmental Quality Improvement and Education Programs, attends staff meetings, and contributes to unit projects. Schedules patients, evaluates critical and emergency procedures, and collaborates with radiologists to meet procedural needs. Performs safety checks, assists in incident/accident follow-up and patient complaint resolution, and maintains a clean and hygienic work area. Contributes to the effective and safe operation of the Ultrasound suite.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound/Sonography/Medical Imaging/Radiography or
- Associate Degree/Diploma in Ultrasound with Registration/certification or accreditation as a Radiographer/Sonographer
- Active home country registration
- Dubai Health Authority (DHA) License
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as Ultrasound Technologist
- Knowledge of human anatomy, human physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology
- Knowledge of radiation, magnetic protection, and safety
- Knowledge of Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) or accreditation standards
- Knowledge of Middle East Culture and Customs
- Ability to remain sensitive to the needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills
- Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and Ultrasound techniques
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently
