Salary: Up to AED 20,000 per month
Qualification: PhD in Computer Science, Computing, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
Experience: Minimum 10 years of teaching and academic experience in higher education

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Professor – School of Computing to join a reputable higher education institution in Ajman. The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in a relevant computing discipline and have a strong background in teaching, research, curriculum development, and academic leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computing-related subjects.
• Develop, review, and enhance course curriculum in line with academic standards.
• Conduct high-quality research and publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, dissertations, and research.
• Mentor students and provide academic guidance to support their learning and career development.
• Participate in curriculum planning, accreditation, and quality assurance activities.
• Contribute to departmental committees and academic administration.
• Build partnerships with industry and academic institutions to enhance research and student opportunities.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and integrate innovative teaching methods into the classroom.
• Support the university's strategic goals through academic excellence, research, and community engagement.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Computing, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in a recognized university or higher education institution.
• Strong research profile with publications in indexed journals.
• Experience supervising postgraduate research projects.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with accreditation and quality assurance standards in higher education.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural academic environment.

Preferred Skills

• Expertise in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, or related fields.
• Experience with outcome-based education (OBE) and curriculum development.
• Strong academic leadership and mentoring abilities.
