Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Addiction Psychologist to join our remote mental health team. The ideal candidate will provide psychological support and therapy to individuals struggling with substance use disorders and behavioral addictions. The psychologist will work closely with clients to help them develop coping strategies, overcome addiction, and improve their overall mental wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct online psychological assessments and therapy sessions for individuals dealing with addiction and substance abuse issues.
• Develop personalized treatment and recovery plans based on clients’ needs.
• Use evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and relapse prevention techniques.
• Provide guidance to clients on managing triggers, cravings, and stress.
• Maintain confidential and accurate patient records in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when required.
• Educate clients and their families about addiction recovery and mental health management.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology (Clinical / Counseling / Addiction Psychology preferred).
• Valid license or certification to practice psychology (as per country/state requirements).
• 2+ years of experience working with addiction or substance abuse cases.
• Experience in online counseling or teletherapy is preferred.
• Strong communication and empathetic counseling skills.

• Knowledge of addiction treatment models and recovery strategies.
• Strong interpersonal and active listening skills.
• Ability to build trust and maintain client confidentiality.
• Experience with digital therapy platforms is an advantage.
